AICS Magazines

The Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) magazine format was developed by Accuracy International for their ground breaking 1998 chassis system for the Remington 700 rifle, it has since gone on to become an industry standard adopted by many leading rifle manufacturers.

AICS magazines are cross compatible with the US M24 pattern, relating to Remington's 2004 M24A2 sniper rifle upgrade which added detachable magazines to the M24 SWS (Sniper Weapon System).

AICS has evolved into a number of different magazine sizes:

  • AICS Short Action (double stack single feed) designed around the 7.62x51mm .308 case family
  • AICS Long Action (single stack single feed) for full length rounds such as the .30-06 and .300 Win Mag, now available in a number of magazine lengths:
    • AICS Long Action 3.715" - the original and most common long action sizing
    • AICS Long Action 3.850" CIP - introduced for longer extra long range magnum loads
    • AICS Long Action 3.560" - a special shorter length type introduced by MDT for Tikka actions, now also used by other manufacturers for 'drop in' bottom metal conversions
  • AICS Medium (double stack single feed) - a longer version of AICS short action introduced by MDT for .30-06 and 6.5x55 length cartridges, available on select MDT chassis and MDT bottom metal.

We stock a comprehensive selection of AICS magazines, from all the key manufacturers.
