2025 version update - please read

In mid 2025 Ruger updated the BX-25 design to be a better fit in current production Ruger 10/22 models with polymer trigger group housings, they are a snugger fit which reduces play when inserted and they have also added a slight radius to the front left side of the feed lips for improved feed.

On older models with cast or machined metal lower trigger groups the new type can be too tight to insert in some cases, though this can be easily adjusted.

Historic 10/22 tolerances have been rather variable when it comes to the magazine well dimensions, with some rifles being mag fussy and others not as a result. Not including units with customisations or aftermarket trigger groups.

The new design features a "tension bar" shape on the lower rear part of the magazine, if yours isn't going in first time lightly file or sand the rear bar until it slots in. The tension bar is made of solid plastic so is easily filed. The upside of this is you can get a nice snug fit, or keep filing if you want it looser for drop free use.

Alternatively, we have a number of other 25 round 10/22 magazines to choose from.
