This is a frame slot filler to fill the gap if removing the GSG 1911 .22LR firing pin block actuation lever as part of a trigger group modification.
Removing the firing pin safety block is a common modification by gunsmiths to improve trigger pull on the Colt 1911 platform.
The shim is a precision cut piece of stainless steel to fill the empty frame cutout and prevent the sear moving out of position.
The GSG 1911 uses the Colt Series 80 frame pattern which this shim is designed to fit, please see the installation video.
