This is a Series 80 & Series 70 frame slot filler to allow removal the GSG 1911 .22LR firing pin block actuation lever as part of a trigger group modification.
The GSG 1911 uses the Colt Series 80 frame pattern which this shim is designed to fit. Removing the firing pin safety block is a common modification by gunsmiths to improve trigger pull on the Colt 1911 platform.
The plate is a precision cut piece of stainless steel to fill the empty frame cutout and prevent the sear moving out of position.
